Supporting the Community, and our Troops!

28 Nov

This Thanksgiving, Salsarita’s of Greenville helped feed the hungry by donating chips & salsa to the Joy Soup Kitchen on Albemarle Street. With the start of the holiday season, Salsarita’s of Greenville hopes to do what it can to help those in need. Our most recent project involves Cell Phones for Soldiers, a nonprofit that was organized to help troops stationed overseas talk to their loved ones at home. By donating an old cell phone (which can be dropped off at Salsarita’s of Greenville), you can help the cause! The cell phone will be sent to Cell Phones for Soldiers, where it will be activated and sent to a troop stationed overseas. Phones sent to troops will have one hour of talk-time programmed into it. Troops will then be able to use these cell phones to contact their loved ones. We feel this is an especially important time to contribute to those that are serving our nation overseas. So when you come in for lunch, bring your old cell-phone and drop it into the Cell Phones for Soldiers drop box! We will be collecting until December 31st, 2009 and will be shipping the phones as they come in.
